PROVO, Utah—NorthStar Alarm Services recently donated a home security system to a local family that has two children with disabilities, according to a news release. The company in June installed the system in a Habitat for Humanity home newly constructed for the Artanduaga family.

The family has three children, two with autism. The youngest child needs constant care, according to the news release.

“We appreciate Northstar's kind donation of a security system in the new Habitat home in Provo," Nancy Mickiewicz, partnership coordinator for Habitat for Humanity, said in a prepared statement. "This generous donation will give the family peace of mind now and in the future."

One of NorthStar Alarm’s core values is service. The wireless system that the company installed at no cost in the home is valued at about $2,500 and has an easy-to-use touch screen panel. NorthStar will cover the monitoring for two years, after which the equipment will still be able to be armed and disarmed.

“Besides just the home security benefits, there is new technology in our systems that can be incredibly beneficial for parents that are simply trying to keep track and protect their children,” NorthStar CEO Jason Christensen, said in a statement. “NorthStar is excited to be able to provide this benefit for the Artanduaga family. We hope that this can help this family as they continue to admirably deal with different life challenges.”

Northstar, a summer-model company based here, recently announced a partnership with Goldman Sachs and a total credit facility of $40 million.
